Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, teacher, and director of drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of both a British father as well as an British-born Turkish Cypriot mother. When she was a kid, she played in commercials for a number of companies.
