Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also directed films, including Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Born into a middle-class family in Los Angeles, she harboured huge dreams when she was a kid. Her mom was obsessed with films and instilled the love of movies in the young girl. Paula was involved in a variety of co-curricular activities in school, but she had an interest in drama. She loved to play act with her classmates and took part in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School gave her many chances to perform throughout her schooling and she chose acting as a career. She was enrolled in The University of Southern Cal's Summer program and enjoyed tremendously. She was assigned a 3 month task to produce documentaries for PBS. After completing the task, she began working as an assistant to the production team for television documentaries. Next, she was going to produce documentaries. Though she loved her job, she still dreamed of becoming an actress. Her acting career began with minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since she's been in a variety of films and television shows.
