Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone, born on 5 January, 1986 (pronounced as [diPIka Paduko] or [paDukoor [paDuko]) is a famous Indian movie actress. She primarily appears in Hindi-language films. There have been three Filmfare Awards have been given to her, making her one of India's top popular and well-paid actors. Time magazine also named her one of 100 people who are influential all over the world in 2018. The award also included with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone was the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager she was a badminton player in national level championships but left her career in the sport to work as a fashion model. She soon began receiving requests to perform in films. Her debut acting job was playing Aishwarya the Kannada main character. Padukone also played the dual role as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) which was her first Bollywood film. The film was awarded Padukone the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone was praised for her role as the lead character in Love Aaj Kal, but later suffered a setback.
